We enjoyed our stay so much. The host Bob was such a joy to communicate with. Simple and easy no hassle. The house was top tier so many beds and spaces to hangout and relax. We enjoyed ourselves Canoeing playing board games getting wet. Late night chats. I have never seen a Fully equipped lodge with all amenities and facsimiles. I definitely give this place all the stars possible!

Get lost in the tall pine trees and gorgeous view of the water with the waterfall feature in the backyard! My fiancé and I had our bridal party stay the weekend here and all day and night we enjoyed the outdoors at this beautiful lodge. We went on walks and took the boats out into the water catching a fish! The home was super cool and cozy with everyone enjoying a nice comfortable bed at night! Could not Thank Bob enough for the amazing vacation! I will definitely look to come back for my Ladies retreat Texas next year.

What an exceptional property. The best Family-friendly stay in Columbus with modern amenities for the next-level comfort of the guests. The lodge is filled with an array of antiques and electric furnishings/decorations that are full of character. Bob is a fantastic host and very accommodating. The lodge is very well stocked with all of the necessities you need. With all of the rooms and restrooms, we never felt crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

This property is eclectic and the owners have an interesting and unique touch that give the property a quaint and cozy feel. We enjoyed a lot in this 15 people stay in Texas. My absolute favorites were sitting around the fireplace with our group and sleeping in the big bed on the screened in porch. We look forward to returning!

My family and I looking for a perfect family reunion, and we got a Unique & Cozy property in Houston. We found the place to be very roomy, comfortable, with lots to do and just enjoy the peace of the property. We really enjoyed using the John boat and dock. We didn’t have much luck fishing, but we don’t really know what we’re doing there so that may have been the problem. Nice variety of wood and charcoal grills to choose from too.

My family really had a great time at this lodge! The master suite is very nice, private and comfortable. The rest of the sleeping areas were good for a large group of people, although it’s unique in that the rooms are all connected such that you have to pass through from one room to another or use one of the exterior doors (there’s no interior hallway). That’s just a little quirk, but workable. The kitchen is small but pretty well stocked. The great room had lots of sitting area and lots to do, with one long dining table and several smaller ones. The covered patio is great! And then you have a variety of charcoal and wood grills/smoker to work with for outdoor cooking. We love this Lake view lodge in Texas, the amenities, spacious rooms, fully equipped kitchen and more. The private lake is really nice and peaceful. If a nice and peaceful getaway that can accommodate a good size group, this is a great spot!

Wonderful and beautiful place to stay at. Plenty of room for all 19 of us. The lake was awesome. My kids had so much fun trying to fish and my husband was able to catch several fish. Close by to local stores and other lakes nearby. Very peaceful and relaxing. Also perfect for all our dogs very pet friendly.

My husband and I hosted 3 children and their spouses along with 11 kiddos between 1 and 16. There was plenty of space but limited privacy. Kids loved fishing, watching the wildlife and roaming the wooded area. We had a great time and would not hesitate to return.

Our very large family spent a wonderful 3 night Thanksgiving stay at this spacious, historic site. The huge rock fireplace housed a roaring fire throughout our stay, thanks to the wonderful store of wood furnished by the owner. The huge family room was great for meals, games, and just sitting around the fire visiting. The expansive outdoors allowed us to set up the badminton set and still have lots of room for family football. This pet-friendly venue was enjoyed by 4 or the family dogs also. We would love to come back in warm weather so that we could fully enjoy the boats and the lake. Owner, Bob, not only made us welcome but gave us some of the historical backgrounds of the home. We made lots of good memories.

Space great. Children and pet friendly. Plenty of kitchen equipment and dishes. Fireplace great for visiting for adults after 7 grandkids went to bed in the “dorm rooms”. We made great memories!

This was an outstanding gem of a venue! So interesting and accommodating. The stay, the facility, and the event were all perfect!

Great stay. Had a bit of a wasp issue but handled it fairly quickly. We saw a family of deer near by which was super cool. The stars at night we’re big and bright lol . The cabin was clean with plenty of room to sit and relax. Great experience.

Lovely and relaxing place with plenty of room for family and friends and everything you need for your stay. The water feature added to the relaxed vibe, and the kids loved going out in the rowboat on the pond. Away from it all but only 20 minutes from La Grange or Smithville.
